Yeah...I was ready for the altitude differences, but it wasn't consistent with what I had heard. Some areas at higher altitudes were at full peak, while lower areas were completely bare! I had been expecting the opposite! Oh well, it was still beautiful!!! :-)

Hey Stephen...never made it to these falls :( so...I'm really glad I've been able to see them through your eyes!! The colors were beautiful in many places, and trees stripped bare in others. But, we got in and out (barely) before the hurricane hit, so, I think we were able to see the best of it!

Thanks Lynn...you should be there for a lot of the fall color show. These falls are the most photographic in Shenandoah, It's a steep hike to get there and back, but unlike a lot of them these falls are close to the main road that runs through the park. Hope you get soke good shots !
