Stephen Vecchiotti is a visual artist of the landscape, with an emphasis on National Parks, the Islands of Hawaii and the Caribbean. Based in Bar Harbor, ME and Acadia National Park, Stephen strives to passionately capture images as they appeared in the field that minuscule moment in time, to make one appreciate the beauty of what was visualized and to give the feeling to the viewer of actually being there. When viewing these photographs you will come to more fully recognize what natural beauty there is in the landscape, which we all have the true privilege of seeing before our eyes. Stephen shoots with a Nikon D850, Nikon 14-24 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8 and 200-500 f4 lenses and Really Right Stuff tripods/ballheads. Thank you for...

Yeah...I was ready for the altitude differences, but it wasn't consistent with what I had heard. Some areas at higher altitudes were at full peak, while lower areas were completely bare! I had been expecting the opposite! Oh well, it was still beautiful!!! :-)
Stephen Vecchiotti
Thank you Lynn, Sorry you missed them but at least you got out before Sandy hit. The trees lose there leaves there depending on the altitude at different times.
Lynn Bauer
Hey Stephen...never made it to these falls :( so...I'm really glad I've been able to see them through your eyes!! The colors were beautiful in many places, and trees stripped bare in others. But, we got in and out (barely) before the hurricane hit, so, I think we were able to see the best of it!
Stephen Vecchiotti
Thanks Lynn...you should be there for a lot of the fall color show. These falls are the most photographic in Shenandoah, It's a steep hike to get there and back, but unlike a lot of them these falls are close to the main road that runs through the park. Hope you get soke good shots !
